I am a passionate enthusiast of technology with a drive to make ideas a reality while learning new skills along the way. My professional experience started in Information Technology where I landed a role as a technician for a local citrus packing operation while simultaneously completing my Bachelors Degree at Fresno State. After 2 years as a technician I was offered the role of department manager which I gladly accepted. I successfully managed to juggle the manager position while finishing my degree at Fresno State. Under my management, the IT team grow from 2 to 5 team members to keep up with the rapidly expanding business and around-the-clock needs.
During my time as IT manager, I also was solely responsible for the development and implementation of several business-specific applications. The largest of which is a sales pricing database that accumulates all information from the cost of labor to the cost of all material inputs and marketing charges and provides sales personnel with an accurate pricer that can use to quote customers in seconds. This application is currently in use by 40 members of sales and marketing and serves as cornerstone piece of software for Kings River Packing.
Upon the completion of my degree in 2022 I pursued a new position as a process manager with Cobblestone Fruit, a brand new operation. As I was the second person hired to the company, I was responsible for a myriad of tasks including construction project tracking, process development, and onboarding to name a few. The task at hand was to complete the construction of a 290,000 sq/ft warehouse in Sanger, CA and get it fully operational within a year. Despite record rainfall delaying construction, and a litany of other challenges, the team was able to get the job completed and the plant opened its doors in December of 2023. As we closed out the construction phase and entered operations, I was selected to spearhead the operations department and get a company of 300 fresh employees up to speed on the processes and workflows of the facility. Under my leadership, the first season of plant operations was a success and we achieved our target output of 5 million units.
Now, I am looking for a role that offers me the opportunity to plant myself in one specific field where I can grow as a manager or contributor that will help lead the company to achieve its future goals.
